Frenchic Natural Waxes and Finishing Coats

Frenchic paints have protective properties built into the paint itself, so separate wax or varnish is generally not needed.

Waxes and finishing coats are used when you want to change the surface gloss, add patina, or provide extra protection for particularly heavy use.

Frenchic natural waxes are beeswax-based, natural, and easy to use. They are suitable for finishing painted surfaces as well as caring for untreated wood, rattan, and wicker surfaces. The waxes allow for layered application and a lively, handcrafted finish. Waxes are for indoor use only.

Finishing coats are the right choice when the surface is exposed to outdoor weather changes, or indoors to heavy wear, moisture, or frequent cleaning, for example on tabletops, children's furniture, or door surfaces. Finishing coats are suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Available in matte and glossy finishes.

Choose the right finish - guide

• Natural wax
  When you want a soft, breathable, and natural surface
  Suitable for patination and fine-tuning gloss level
  Easy to maintain and add more if needed
• For woodworking and clean wood surfaces
• For painted surfaces
• Best for decorative furniture, antique furniture
• Wax coverage: A 400ml container covers at least 10m2, depending on the surface porosity and desired finish.

Finishing coat

• Clear protective coat = Tuff Top Coat or Finishing Coat
  When the surface is exposed to heavy wear or moisture
  Suitable for tabletops (TTC), doors, and frequently cleaned surfaces
  Forms a hard and durable protective layer
  Choose when protection is more important than patina
