The double-sided, large color wheel (approx. 24 cm in diameter) helps you find perfect color pairs and new, unique paint mixes for your home’s color scheme, or even plan color combinations for clothing and art.
A color wheel is a simple tool that shows how colors behave when you add black, white, or another shade. By turning the sections of the disk, you can see combinations of different shades.
In other words, it lets you quickly see which colors go together and identify complementary colors or color pairs.
The double-sided color wheel, approx. 24 cm in diameter, is versatile and easy to use.
The text on the color wheel is in English.
The color wheel disk has 12 segments - sections, each representing one color. The disk shows how colors relate to each other, whether they’re next to each other or diametrically opposite.
The double-sided color wheel contains three primary colors, red, yellow, and blue, as well as three secondary colors, green, orange, and violet (when two primary colors are mixed together, they form a secondary color).
The color wheel also has six tertiary colors, which are a mix of primary and secondary colors. These are red-orange, yellow-orange, yellow-green, blue-green, blue-violet, and red-violet.
Warm colors - reds, yellows, and pinks - are on the other side.
Cooler shades - blues, greens, and purples - are on the opposite side of the wheel.
Choose a color, for example green – then turn the inner wheel to see what it looks like when you add red to your chosen green. Turn it further to see what green looks like when you add yellow, and so on.
Turn the color wheel and look at the green color. Align the inner disk with the green, and you’ll see three shades of green labeled Shade, Tone, and Tint on the inner disk.
Shade: your chosen color + white
Tone: your chosen color + gray
Tint: your chosen color + black

Using the color wheel to build a color scheme also requires an understanding of different types of color schemes for home decor. Explore shades using the color wheel alongside color theory, without forgetting your own preferences.
The color wheel is just a guide, so trust your own judgment and use shades you like. Still, the color wheel can be very useful in practice, whether you’re planning a large-scale scheme or considering a single beautiful color combination.
Mixing colors is fun, and mixing your own shades can help you find truly unique, personal colors to use!
Anyone who loves mixing shades and painting should always keep white and black paint on hand, as you can use them to mix countless color combinations that still look beautiful together - a great tip for anyone painting or renovating!
Monochromatic color schemes create a harmonious, peaceful atmosphere and are very on-trend in interior painting right now. It’s currently fashionable to paint the ceiling and trim the same or almost the same shade as the walls.
You can choose one main color, such as blue, and use different shades of blue on surfaces and in your decor, from very light to bright, teal, and navy, depending on the room and the mood you want to create.
A contrasting color scheme uses two colors from opposite sides of the color wheel. What might orange and blue look like together? You can also use this trick on a smaller scale, for example: paint a wall blue and place an orange light fixture in front of it. Complementary colors are also pleasing to the eye.
If you follow the colour wheel, you’ll find a wide range of shades to choose from. Some of these combinations may already be familiar to you, while others might be new.
A good tip is to use different levels of colour saturation. We recommend pairing a lighter shade of one colour with a darker shade of another. For example: green and light pink.
Pair darker green with light pink - a combination that’s sure to work! Add raspberry red and fuchsia as accent colours. Finish the space with a light blue floor. Can you see how this foolproof combination looks as if it came straight from nature?
Green is on trend in interiors right now. You can naturally pair it with all the colours of nature: blue, brown, terracotta, beige and black - as well as different variations of each.
Think of the sky, sea and earth. These shades can create a cosy, natural and peaceful backdrop for the rest of your home’s interior.
When it comes to natural shades, you can be bold - try water-inspired hues, deep forest green and fresh sky blue.
Pair green with a soft cream shade instead of white for a softer look.
Grey is still popular in interior design. You can pair it with lively terracotta, blues and various shades of red, for example. Spicy shades of brown and yellow also go well with grey.
Now that you know a little more about how to use a double-sided colour wheel and how to mix colours, you’ll surely be inspired to create your own perfect palettes!

The 27-page, Finnish-language Frenchic color guide booklet helps you choose Frenchic shades
The color guide also includes all shades sold in Finland (October 2024) and their descriptions.
You can find the color guide here
The back page of the handy color guide has space for notes, where you can list the shades and surfaces you have already used.
Please note! For technical printing reasons, the color guide does not replace the color chart or serve as a shade sample. Order the color chart separately. The color chart includes shades from two ranges: Al Fresco and Lazy Range. The color chart is in English.
Peel & Stick color samples are removable mini samples made with real paint to ensure a perfect color match. No mess, no stress – peel the sticker off its backing, stick it to a wall or cabinet door, and let your heart decide!
By ordering Peel & Stick samples, you can test the paint right where the decision is made: in your own home. Order at least two of your favorite shades and see the difference in natural light, artificial light, and against different wall surfaces.
Easy to compare and reliable results.
We do our utmost to ensure that the shades in our online store are as close as possible to the actual shades, but colors may vary between devices - depending on several factors, such as the display settings on your phone, tablet, or computer.
This means that we cannot guarantee that the paint shade will exactly match what you see on your screen.
We always recommend testing the shade in the space and on the surface where you plan to use it before starting a larger project. Order individual shade cards, a Color Chart, or a Color Guide magazine for color planning.
Please also note that 250 ml and 750 ml tins are always from different production batches. Avoid shade differences between batches by mixing paints from different batches together: this will ensure that the shade is exactly the same throughout your project.
Examine and assess the shade only once it is dry and has been painted at least twice according to the instructions. Order a small tin to test it, or visit your nearest retailer to see the colors in person. The color chart includes shades from two ranges: Al Fresco and Lazy Range.
NOTE! The Peel & Stick sample has the text Chalk Wall Paint printed on it because the shade samples were originally made for choosing wall paint shades. Please note that the shade range in Finland differs from that in England.
However, you can also use a Peel & Stick shade sample to choose shades from other ranges!
Also make sure you set aside enough paint for your project:
Make sure you set aside enough paint to complete your project. Due to high demand, some shades are also sold out. The standard advice in the industry is that if you need more than one can of paint, make sure they are from the same production batch (batch number) or, if that is not possible, mix the batches together before painting to ensure a consistent result. Thoroughly mixing the paint (for a long time and right down to the bottom) is important to achieve the correct shade. If touch-up painting is needed, we recommend painting the entire area instead of doing a small patch, so that the repair is as inconspicuous as possible.
